Celebrate Shabbat In Style with Virtual Shabbat Backgrounds

It’s been quite a change watching Shabbat services virtually over the past year. But, one thing we have all learned is that you don’t always need a physical sanctuary to bring sanctuary to people. I personally have greatly enjoyed not only watching my own synagogue’s weekly services, but also having the opportunity to view content from a variety of temples across the country. I’ve even heard of people watching a Shabbat service virtually from a different synagogue in a different country each week! So to make your own space more festive, why not digitally decorate your Zoom account with any one of these virtual Shabbat backgrounds? Choose your favorite background below and download to your computer.

How Do You Add a Background to Your Zoom Live Video?

First, click the download button and save your favorite background to your computer. To install on Zoom, start a new meeting, click the tiny “up arrow” next to the Start Video button on the bottom left of your screen, and press the “plus sign” directly across from Choose Virtual Background. Add the image by going into your downloads and selecting the Shabbat virtual background that you downloaded. All of the Zoom backgrounds are 1980 x 1020 pixels which is the size recommended by Zoom. You can read up on how to add your virtual background directly from the Zoom website if you have any additional questions.
